ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS FOR WADE FITTINGS 1) Ensure that the tube is cut square to the tube axis and free from burrs. 2) Slip the coupling nut onto the body followed by the compression ring. 3) Insert the tube into the body of the coupling, ensuring that the tube is seated firmly against the abutment shoulder. 4) Hand tighten the coupling nut. 5) Ensure that the tube is straight at the point of entry into the coupling body and that the axis of the tube and body are aligned. If tube bending is required, then ensure that this is carried out prior to assembly of the coupling components. Do not bend the tube after the joint has been made as this will cause side loading which can be detrimental to the performance of the joint. The number of turns required to make 'leak tight' joint are shown on the tables below.
WORKING PRESSURES FOR WADE BRASS COMPRESSION FITTINGS The recommended maximum working pressures conform to BS2051 part 1 for temperatures up to 65ºC under vibration free conditions. Please ensure the tube to be used is suitable for the pressures required. |
