PVC strip curtain is an economical method of internal or external partitioning, which cuts heat loss from busy external doorways or allows separation of internal areas but allowing unrestricted access with good visibility. They can improve the working environment by maintaining temperature differentials and preventing ingress of dust, rain, birds and insects. They can be used for sound reduction in noisy manufacturing areas as well as protecting against swarf or missiles from machinery and reduce the risk of serious eye damage from welding arc flashes. PVC strip material is available in various sizes for different applications in 50m rolls. The standard sizes are: 200mm wide X 2mm thick -for small internal openings and pedestrian access 300mm wide x 2mm thick -for normal use and light industrial traffic 300mm wide x 3mm thick -for normal use and light industrial traffic 400mm wide x 3mm thick -for heavy use and external doors 400mm wide x 4mm thick -for large external doors with greater wind resistance
We also offer the PVC strip in a ‘coldstore’ grade, which is much softer and designed for coldstore applications or opaque ‘marker’ Red used as an edge marker to the clear doorways or ‘buffer’ strip which has vertical ribs which reduce surface contact by passing traffic, giving less drag and abrasion resulting in a cleaner surface for greater safety for longer. Standard Quality: Has a coldflex (The temp at which the material becomes hard and will not break)temperature of -20ºC and a coldbend (the temp at which the material will break if flexed) temperature of -40ºC. The recommended temperature range in use is -5ºC to +60ºC Coldstore Quality: Has a coldflex of -33ºC and a coldbend of -65ºC. The recommended temperature range in use is -15ºC to +20ºC Super Polar Quality: Has a coldflex of -58ºC and a coldbend of -70ºC. The recommended temperature range in use is -35ºC to +10ºC |
