Description
Extremely lightweight, highly flexible duct with a high tensile spring steel helix, covered with a silicone-coated impregnated glass fibre fabric, featuring an outer cord of silicone-coated glass fibre. Designed for light-duty service conditions requiring good flexibility and lightness in weight.
Features and Applications
This silicone-coated duct is perfect for materials drying, chemical fumes, industrial fumes and used in industries such as aerospace, and automotive applications. Its construction ensures high temperature resistance and good chemical resistance.
Properties
This duct is celebrated for its lightweight nature and ease of handling. Its construction makes it axially compressible and highly flexible, preventing kinks on sharp bends and ensuring good flow characteristics. Our ducting offers excellent heat ageing characteristics and low-temperature flexibility. It provides fair resistance to many oils, greases, solvents, and industrial chemicals in the vapour phase at moderate concentrations.
Flexflyte U8 can be ordered in lengths up to 4 metres with straight, tapered, or expanded cuffs for secure and leak-tight connections to meet your specific application requirements. Bore Finish: Corrugated
